The World of Dab

I currently work at Editure as a the Team Leader for System Engineering. I don't like to talk about it much in front of non computer people as it makes them sleeeepy. Their eyes are getting heavier even as I describe the basics of what I do...They can no longer stay awake...Something about the Internet and education and Linux....zzzzz. And Perl and feather dusters.

That pretty much sums up most peoples reactions which makes it a terrible way to meet women. So I tell them that I'm a singer/songwriter which works much better till I find that I can't even describe what sort of music I do. I mean, if it's you and a guitar then it's folk, right? That keeps most people happy that they've got me pegged in a musical box at least. Then they can forget that I'm a computer geek. And that I’m going out with Dani.

I tried to write a story called Dead Ant but being a natural minimalist (though the size of this web page says otherwise) I ran out of words in no time at all. You can tell that I did it from sheer boredom more than from any desire to make the world a better place.

I already have a job, but you can read my curriculum vitae anyway.

When I was young, my Mum got a lady called Maggie to do a reading for me describing who I was and how to avoid some of the problems in life. It's very accurate though I've never met her. As a result I did some reading and came up with an attempt of my own at describing my personality based upon when I was born.

Sometime I like to jot down some infinitely wise sayings - none of which are included here.

The picture on the left was taken at Dargo river during a hike where we ran out of water. The one on the right is my friend, Nick, and me at Ben Gubbins’ 11th birthday party.
